Last week, IAB Cumbres proudly hosted the first edition of IABCMUN, bringing together students for a day of diplomacy, collaboration, critical thinking, and meaningful debate. This milestone event provided delegates with the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, broaden their global perspectives, and engage in constructive dialogue on important international issues.

A special thank you to our school leadership team, teachers, and Advisors, whose support, guidance, and commitment made this event possible. We also extend our gratitude to our pioneering Secretariat for their vision, leadership, and dedication in organizing and leading the very first IABCMUN. Their efforts have helped establish a meaningful experience that we hope will continue to grow for years to come.

As part of Parent Appreciation Week at IAB Cumbres, we welcomed parents from Nursery 1 through 5th Grade for special moments of connection and bonding with their children. Through meaningful activities, families had the opportunity to pause, spend quality time together, and celebrate the unique role parents play in their children's lives.

At IAB Cumbres, we value the strong partnership between school and family, and these shared experiences remind us that some of the most meaningful moments are built through presence, connection, and quality time. Thank you to all the parents who joined us and made this week so special.

Our MYP students proudly showcased their language learning journey during the Language Fair, bringing their German and French skills to life through a variety of engaging presentations. Families experienced language learning in action through creative activities such as restaurant simulations, guided school tours in French, news broadcasts, and interactive presentations highlighting what students have learned throughout the school year.

Last week, our IAB Parents Padel Tournament was a great opportunity to enjoy friendly competition, teamwork, and a great morning on the court. Activities like these continue to encourage connection and community among our parents.

Congratulations to our champions, Fernando Vázquez and Gilberto Villarreal, and to our runners-up, Elio Nieves and Santiago Manzano, for an excellent tournament and outstanding teamwork.

As part of their Language and Literature class, our 9th Grade students attended a conference led by LCC Jorge Elí Casas Camarillo, a specialist in Advertising and Media Production, and a member of the IABC teaching community.

Drawing from his professional experience, he introduced students to the key elements of effective advertising and helped them analyze how advertising messages influence consumers through both linguistic and visual techniques.

To apply their learning, students created promotional posters for a variety of unusual products, including dehydrated water cubes, bottled Monterrey air, portable silence, math homework-flavored gum, finished-homework perfume, fish umbrellas, cactus combs, and more.

We are proud to congratulate our students on their outstanding participation in SPISMUN Paseo, held on April 25, where they demonstrated exceptional preparation, leadership, and debating skills while representing Instituto Anglo Británico Campus Cumbres.

In this edition, our delegates earned important recognitions: Mateo Castro received the Outstanding Delegate award, Valentino Garza earned an Honorable Mention, and Maya Puente was recognized with Best Position Paper.

These achievements reflect the dedication, effort, and passion our students bring to the Model United Nations experience. Congratulations on representing our IAB community with excellence and making us proud!

Last weekend, our students proudly represented Instituto Anglo Británico Campus Cumbres during their participation in IABMUN, demonstrating an outstanding level of preparation, leadership, and debating skills.

We are delighted to congratulate Sofía Toledo and Rebeca Guzmán for earning the Best Delegate award; Eduardo Vilchis and Isabela Ramírez for receiving Outstanding Delegate; Mateo Castro for his Honorable Mention; and Valentino Garza for being recognized as Best Moderator.

Each of these achievements reflects the commitment, hard work, and passion our students bring to the Model United Nations experience. Congratulations on representing our IAB community with excellence and making us proud!

The first edition of the Britannic Cup came to an exciting close last Friday, bringing together students through sportsmanship, teamwork, and school spirit.

This student-led tournament was organized by 9th Grade students Nicole Mendoza, Alain Hernández, Tadeo Olvera, and Karol Méndez under the guidance of Ms. Claudia González. A special thank you to Coach Edwin Treviño, Carlos Rossel, and César Rivas, who served as referees throughout the tournament. We also extend our gratitude to our administrative and maintenance teams, teachers, MYP staff, and everyone behind the scenes whose support and dedication helped make this event possible.

Thank you to all the teams who participated and to the students who filled every match with energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement. Events like the Britannic Cup strengthen our sense of community, foster sportsmanship, and create meaningful opportunities for students to connect beyond the classroom through teamwork and healthy competition.

Congratulations to our finalists, Emma United and TOTY FC, for their dedication and outstanding performance, and special congratulations to Emma United, champions of the first-ever Britannic Cup!

Last Thursday, our students enjoyed an unforgettable experience with CLAP! (Creative Learning and Performing), a pioneer theater company dedicated to creating interactive educational theater in English.

Students from K2–2nd Grade traveled down the yellow brick road with Oz, 3rd–5th Grade explored new cultures through Around the World, and 6th–9th Grade enjoyed the fun and humor of Cluelessly.

Through engaging performances and audience interaction, our students had the opportunity to experience English beyond the classroom, strengthening their confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning in a fun and meaningful way.

Alan Daniel Cortés Harrup has received a sports scholarship at Prepa Tec, joining the Borregos Monterrey football team.

This achievement highlights his discipline, dedication, and passion both on and off the field.
