We’re a nonprofit English, Spanish & Maya language school in the Zona Maya of Mexico. You can support this program by donating or studying with us.

Our name comes from the Maya expression “To’on Na’atik” meaning “we’re understanding each other.” We're an intercultural hub and believe that cross-cultural exchange is the key to true understanding. It is only once we understand each other that we can see what is really possible. Our purpose is to inspire global citizenship while supporting the local Carrillo Puerto community through our love of

Manuel works with stingless bees in Felipe Carrillo Puerto, sharing knowledge about how the bees live, how the honey is made, and why it has medicinal value.🍯

Visitors from the United States and Europe come to learn from him. He had been connected to Na’atik through his work with bees before he became a student.🐝

Manuel had learned a little English in school, but he never had the chance to practice.📚

Two years ago, he made the decision to come to class at Na’atik.🏫

Since then, his confidence has grown. Today, Manuel uses English to speak with international visitors, explain his bee project, and share knowledge from his community.💬

That’s the power of access to education.✨

Students like Manuel invest in their learning. Monthly donors help subsidize the rest so cost doesn’t become a reason to stop.🙌

Even small monthly gifts make a real difference.✨

Students like Manuel are already showing up.🙌

Marisa has been learning English since she was five years old.✨

Now she’s 15, and still showing up every week to keep improving.📚

She listens to music in English. She watches movies and series. And when she meets people from other countries at Na’atik, she gets to practice real conversations for the first time.💬✨

Those moments matter.✨

“I want to get better with my pronunciation,” Marisa says. “I want to practice my conversation.”🗣

Marisa says her favorite part about being a Na’atik student is meeting our Spanish immersion students and taking part in intercambios.💬

She’s already thinking about the future, university, and possibly even abroad.
English keeps those possibilities open.📚

But long-term learning only works when students can keep coming back year after year. That’s why monthly donors are so important.✨
