When our family from Switzerland came to visit us, we decided to take them on a different kind of adventure. We skipped the crowd-favorite Embarcadero Nuevo Nativitas and set sail from Embarcadero Fernando Celada—a peaceful, hidden jewel named after Xochimilco’s famous native poet and playwright.

From a mouthwatering lunch at Patio Ciento20 (a hidden culinary gem in the center!) to a serene, relaxing trajinera ride through quiet canals, and finishing with a colorful Quinceañera mass inside the historic cathedral... this trip showed us the true, tranquil magic of Xochimilco.

Reconnecting with former students is the best part of what we do!

Our dear student Iomi from Japan first joined us at Ideal Spanish Mexico back in 2003, and this season she returned for her third study trip with us. During her whirlwind journey across Mexico, we spent a wonderful, peaceful Wednesday together exploring the incredible archaeological site of Xochicalco.

From climbing ancient temples and taking in the panoramic views to cheering at Estadio Azteca and catching a live Lucha Libre match, Iomi made every single moment count!
