Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how powerful it is when a teen has one adult outside their family who truly sees them.

Someone who listens without judgment. Who asks questions instead of giving lectures. Who helps them build trust in themselves.

That’s what mentoring is — partnership, independence, growth, and identity all unfolding in real time.
