Mexican Spanish in Mexico! 🇲🇽

Gracias amig@s! The last week of October we had our Immersion Experience every day cultural activities, Spanish classes and, all about "Día de los mu***os" 💀

Everytime we have an amazing experience, the participants improved their speaking and comprehension skills within these days, learned a lot about Mexico's language and culture, and we became friends from different places, I can't wait to see you guys again 🤗

When English speakers want to say 'Ask' in Spanish, they are frequently confused as to whether to use the verb Preguntar or Pedir.

Preguntar is used to ask a question.

🎫Tienes que preguntar cuánto vale el pasaje.
✈️¿Preguntaste a qué hora llega el avión?
🔑Pregúntale a Pedro dónde están mis llaves.

Pedir means to ask for (something), to make a request.

🙋‍♀️Tienes que pedir permiso antes de ir.
💸Me pidió dinero pero yo no tenía nada.
📲Quiero pedir su número de teléfono pero tengo vergüenza.
