I am one of them!
MEXICO ISN'T JUST A PLACE YOU VISIT — IT'S A PLACE THAT STAYS WITH YOU.
Most people think they know Mexico.
The beaches. The tacos. The sunsets.
But the real Mexico goes so much deeper than a postcard.
Long before modern cities rose into the sky, the people of this land were already changing the world.
Around 9,000 years ago, farmers in Mexico began domesticating corn — a crop that now feeds billions of people on every continent.
Chocolate? Its roots trace back to cacao cultivated in ancient Mesoamerica.
Vanilla? Born in the forests of Mexico.
Tomatoes, avocados, chili peppers — gifts this land shared with the entire planet.
Every time someone in Tokyo, Paris, or New York enjoys these foods… a little piece of Mexico is on their plate.
Then there are the civilizations.
The Olmecs, often called the "mother culture" of Mesoamerica.
The Maya, brilliant astronomers and mathematicians who worked with the concept of zero.
The Aztecs, who built Tenochtitlan — a city on a lake with canals, gardens, and markets that amazed everyone who saw it.
Today, Mexico is home to more than 30 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Chichén Itzá. Teotihuacan. Palenque. Colonial towns painted in every color imaginable.
And the land itself is breathtaking.
Mexico is one of the most biodiverse countries on Earth.
Turquoise cenotes hidden underground.
Volcanoes crowned with snow.
Copper Canyon, stretching wide and deep across the Sierra Madre.
And every winter, millions of monarch butterflies travel thousands of miles to rest in the forests of Michoacán — turning entire mountainsides orange.
But ask anyone who has truly experienced Mexico, and they'll tell you the same thing:
It's the people.
The grandmother who insists you eat one more plate.
The music that pours out of open windows.
The families who gather every Día de Mu***os to remember their loved ones with flowers, candles, and love — a tradition recognized by UNESCO as part of the world's cultural heritage.
Even Mexican cuisine itself has been honored by UNESCO as a treasure of humanity.
This is a country where history isn't locked in museums.
It lives in the food, the language, the festivals, and the hearts of its people.
More than 60 Indigenous languages are still spoken here today.
Ancient traditions and modern dreams walk side by side.
Mexico is color.
Mexico is resilience.
Mexico is family.
Mexico is pride that never fades.
Because true beauty isn't just something you see…
It's something you feel.
And once you've felt Mexico, you never forget it.
