When I packed up my life in the U.S. and moved to Mexico, I thought I had to choose—be one thing or the other. American or Mexican. Here or there. But the deeper I’ve gone into this international life, the more I’ve realized something powerful: identity doesn’t have to fit in a box. It can stretch, evolve, and expand.

In my latest piece, I share how life between two cultures reshaped my idea of belonging, why shared nostalgia hits differently across borders (hello, Grey Poupon!), and how I finally stopped trying to “fit in” and started embracing the and.

Whether you're navigating multiple cultures or just curious about what it’s like to build a life across borders, I hope this one resonates.

Home isn’t a place. It’s the life you build.

Have you ever felt the deep urge to pack a bag and just go—without knowing exactly why?

One morning, between sleep and waking, a dream reminded me of an ancient truth:

We were born to roam. It’s in our DNA.

In my latest post, I explore the roots of our longing for freedom, travel, and movement—and how this nomadic spirit still lives in us today. If you’ve ever felt the pull to explore the world (or just wondered why you crave change), this one’s for you.

Sometimes, in that delicate space between dreaming and waking, I forget what country I’m in. It’s not confusion—it’s something softer. A blur between worlds. One morning, in that quiet in-bet…

Since moving to Mexico, I’ve made Self-Care Saturdays a non-negotiable part of my routine—a time to reset, reflect, and recharge. But self-care isn’t just about spa days; it’s about setting boundaries, protecting your peace, and prioritizing yourself.

Today, on International Women's Day 2025, let's commit to prioritizing ourselves, not just today, but everyday.

How do you practice self-care? Let’s talk! 💜👇

The way we approach the ocean mirrors how we navigate life—sometimes we float, sometimes we dive deep, and sometimes we struggle against the current. But no matter what, we always return stronger with the tides.

Living near the La Cruz Marina has given me the gift of ocean swimming, a practice that has become more than just exercise—it’s a metaphor for life itself. Unlike the confines of a pool, the ocean offers wild freedom, unpredictability, and challenges that test our courage. From jellyfish stings to the lurking presence of crocodiles (yes, really!), every swim is a lesson in trust, resilience, and surrendering to what we cannot control.

Just like in life, fear is always present—but the key is knowing which fears protect us and which ones hold us back. When we push through, we find something extraordinary on the other side: freedom.

This piece is for anyone who’s ever felt trapped by limitations and longed for something more. Join me in exploring the parallels between ocean swimming and life’s biggest lessons. 🌊💙

The ocean is uncontrollable, much like life itself. We can’t dictate the waves or the creatures we encounter, but we can choose how we navigate them. Living near the La Cruz marina has brought me f…

Life in the U.S. had me caught in a cycle of workaholism and perfectionism—constantly chasing an unattainable standard. But returning to Mexico has taught me something powerful: life doesn’t need to be perfect to be fulfilling. 🌞

In Mexico, I’ve learned to embrace the "good enough" standard, slow down, and reconnect with what truly matters—my health, my relationships, and my peace of mind. 🌱

We’re all guilty of striving for perfection, but maybe the real freedom lies in accepting that we’re enough as we are. 💫

Read the full post about how Mexico helped me find balance, heal, and breathe again.

After spending months in the U.S. supporting my mother through a health crisis, I returned to Mexico feeling like a shell of myself. Battling insomnia and the exhausting grip of perfectionism, I re…

Hello Again.

Over the past two years, life has taken me on an intense, transformative journey.

After selling the studio, I was able to focus on personal health challenges, learn how to manage my conditions, and prioritize my mental health and overall well-being.

I’ve spent time reconnecting with what truly resonates with me, supporting my mother through her battle with two brain tumors, cherishing moments with close friends and family, and being with my partner and our doggos.

I've been spending time in solitude, reading, writing, and of course, spending more time at the beach—where my soul feels most at peace.

I have been healing.

This season of life has been about peeling back layers and meeting the version of myself I always knew existed—the person I knew all too well, but was too afraid to fully embrace.

But that fear? It’s behind me now. I’ve stepped into my power and found that I am strong. I am brave. I have found my voice.

And I'm here to say, "Hello again." 🌻

Don't get it twisted.
