The 🍐 Project -K2/K3
Our new project began with something very special: harvesting pears directly from our tree!
After learning that pears can take around 2-3 weeks to become ready to eat after being picked, each child chose their own pear and carefully wrapped it in colorful tissue paper.
Now, our little pears have become part of an ongoing experiment. The children will check on them regularly, observing how they change over time and looking for signs that they are becoming ready, or that something may not be going as expected. Along the way, they are exploring a simple science question: What happens to a pear after we pick it from the tree?
