Primary school in rural Malawi aiming to be the top Gov. school, where basic needs of the learners are met and combined with using advanced technologies!

But delighted to see our very own headteacher Mr. Chipanga being interviewed on zoom for BBC about the Unlocking Talent project that I am proud to have been part of in Malawi, It's currently working at our Matandani school for the benefit of bother the girls and boys of our community!! Well done Givemore!! Matandani is becoming more famous by the day! 😋☺️🌞 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

There are amazing people working at Matandani school, here are some of them who work hard to try and make a difference in the children's lives!
The building stages of our 'open' classroom! Built quickly and with great value (half the price of a normal classroom!) It serves a great purpose and will be used as a classroom for std 1 or 2 while their class sizes are so large !
With large class sizes still and not enough classrooms to hold them, we still had some classes learning under a tree! (Pic 1) We decided to try build a new 'open' classrooms that are far more suitable to teach in! (Pic 2)
Work on upgrading our netball pitch has started! One of the most used things at Matandani school! Some great ideas from Kenneth being implemented....
Today we said goodbye to Matandani after an amazing few weeks. Thank you Andy for making it all possible and to all the staff and children for giving us an experience we will never forget.
The children love to help carry our bags but suitcases are a luxury item as they are used to store clothes etc. These boys were not letting go of this one!
It was like Christmas Day at Domasi Clinic when we delivered medical supplies from Galway to the staff. The glasses were equally welcome#whatwetakeforgranted#

A new and exciting project has been given the go ahead to start at Matandani! Through my work with VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas), I have been able to build my very own version of a mobile solar powered projector! This little invention has caused quite a stir in VSO and anyone who I’ve shown. With the advance of technology, I have been able to use a projector that is powerful enough to run off a battery but bright enough to be used in a typical Malawian classroom. [ 553 more words ]
