MZUZU GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS URGED TO WORK HARD IN SCIENCE SUBJECTS

Mzuzu Girls Secondary School Examinations Officer, Sergeant Mavuto Mpulula, has urged students to work hard in all subjects including science subjects and remain disciplined as they prepare for their forthcoming examinations.
Speaking on Monday, 20 October 2025, during a presentation of Scientific Calculators gifts from an Australian warm hearted woman, Lauren Emily Wilson to five students.
Sgt. Mpulula said "time is running out with only six weeks of classes remaining, you need to work extra-hard in all subjects so that you should pass the national examination with flying colours and satisfy your aspirations in life".
"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts," Sgt. Mpulula emphasized, encouraging students to stay focused and motivated.
He stressed that academic success depends on the combined effort of students, teachers, and parents, urging parents to take a more active role in supporting their children’s studies.
The school, which is a MANEB examination centre, currently has 160 students, including six female inmates. In 2021, two female inmates from the school were selected to pursue university education.
One of the awardees, Edious Nyirenda, said the gift has motivated her to work harder in her studies and pleaded that her heartfelt appreciation should be forwarded to their friend in Australia.
