Rise I shine

On the dust
Was fallen
Alienate and illegitimate
A bastardirised bunny
But like a vapour
To the sky
I will rise
No wonder
The still the slope
Might be
The higher the altitude
Might seems
To the climax
I will flap
The pectoralis major will contract
Fight feathers will overlap
Like an eagle against gravity I will fly away

Oh no! It's dark
The ugly altocumulus and statocumulus
Has made my winder to rose
My night are too long and cold than my days
The night around seem thick
With horrors and evil
The evaporation, transpiration, condensation
Has made my eyes to precipitate
Rainfall, run fall
Has erode my fertility
But sun will smile
Summers will began

Why do you trail me silently wherever I go?
At noon or midnight, you refuse to let me be
When I run you run; when I slow you slow
Are you my burden, or part of me?
You stretch long when fear weighs on my mind,
You shrink when courage makes me stand tall.
Tell me, dark follower, truth undefined,
Why are you with me through rise and fall?

I am born of your light and shaped by your fear,
I vanish only when darkness is whole.
I hide what you hide, what you never declare,
The silent echo of your soul
You cannot lose me,nor can you flee,
For I am the proof that you stand in the light.
Walk on, my owner and remember me
Without you, I fade into endless night

When you moves, I move too
I'm always there wherever you go
You try to hide but I'm always near
A dark shape that follows without a fear

In the light I'm long and thin
But at night I'm darker within
I see things you don't want to say
Your secrets are mine every day

Owner why do you run from me?
I'm part of you don't you see?
I know your fears your joys, your pain
I'm your shadow always the same

*VASTY RELATIONSHIP*

At varsity life feels like a long hot road. I walk between lectures with a tired mind and a heavy heart. My shadow follows me quiet and close just like the thoughts I carry about friendships love and expectations. When I stop to think its with me.

I ask my shadow why relationships at varsity feel so confusing. It reminds me that it is born from light just as relationships grow from shared time and effort. It moves when I move teaching me that every choice I make in love and friendship shapes what follows me.

When fear enters my heart fear of rejection, misunderstanding or being alone my shadow grows long. When I am confident and honest it fades. My shadow shows me that relationships reflect who I am inside my strengths and my flaws.

At night when silence fills my room the shadow disappears. Yet I understand in the darkness we are one. My varsity relationships are part of me, teaching me to grow, to understand myself, and to walk forward with maturity.

Why always within my territory?

I hate it, largely the way I hate hell
As to why always within my territory?
You follow me, U don't observe my personal space
It's you everywhere, around me
But why?

The crux part of it,
You imitate, you mimic,
everything I do.
It hurts, I'm scared of my tomorrow's privacy
Will you not be my Judas?
If so?
Why always me?
I ask you, a so-called my shadow
Why always within my territory?

Aaaah! Don't blame me,
You misuse me!
You overwork me!
You trouble my peace!
You, a so-called person
You carry me to places I don't like!
But you man, why always colonising me?
I'm tired of your senseless movements!
And can't you change me?
I try so hard.... To go out of your way
But why, lingering around my presence?

Yesterday the Writersā€™ Forum held its last meeting of the semester.
In the session we did a quick writing exercise: the prompt was ā€œ .ā€

The idea was to get everyone writing freely and continuously to spark creativity and shake off any blocks.

Following the meeting, each member's piece will be posted here, either a poem or short story.

It was a lively, productive way to wrap up the semesterā€™s activities.

Here comes the last Monday!
Perhaps the day we crossed paths, talked first or I donā€™t know!
Maybe something happened on Monday? Something great!

If nothing happened, it will happen today!
It is actually happening right now!
I am writing you this message to appreciate you for being there all my ā€œlittle oneā€ days

I celebrate our unique, far but close bond, and the silence that has once made noise!
