The end of a very insightful training week at Bolera Palms School with Madam Rita 💖🌈

It was great to spend time with the teachers and be a part of reforming the curriculum as they are already so far ahead! Ritas passion and drive is incredible and really keeps the school going 💫

We have visited so many schools over the last few years and Bolera Palms School is still by far the best we’ve seen! We certainly wouldn’t be in Malawi and making plans for our own school without Rita and her school. We are absolutely honoured to be a part of it 🌟💙

Many thanks for this wonderful Christmas donation!

Ook dit jaar doneren wij met onze kerstactie aan drie goede doelen. We hebben onze relaties via een enquête laten kiezen naar welk goed doel hun voorkeur uitging. Dit heeft geresulteerd in de volgende verdeling:
• Hulp groep geven en nemen Volendam: € 1.600
• Stichting Bolera Palms School in Malawi: € 1.800
• Prinses Máxima Centrum voor kinderoncologie: € 3.600

Omdat we onlangs van dichtbij hebben meegemaakt wat een goed werk het Prinses Máxima Oncologisch Centrum doet, hebben we er voor gekozen om dit bedrag van € 3.600 te verhogen naar € 5.000. Hiermee zijn wij twee jaar Zakenvriend van de Prinses Máxima Centrum Foundation en wordt deze donatie gebruikt voor het activiteitenfonds. Hiermee organiseren zij activiteiten en evenementen om het leed van kinderen met kanker een beetje te verlichten en te zorgen voor de nodige ontspanning tijdens het ziekteproces.

Na de kerstvakantie zullen we de cheques overhandigen.

Naast een financiële bijdrage, zullen wij ook zelf in actie komen. Zo gaan wij op Oudejaarsdag oliebollen uitdelen bij de Prinsenstichting in Purmerend én bij De Zorgcirkel Stichting, locatie Sint Nicolaashof in Volendam.

Today is Madam Amy’s last day teaching at Bolera School. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for all the fun, laughter and hard work you have brought to the project. We will miss you, and all you have done for us. Bye bye but not forever 🇲🇼❤️
