Day 8 to 10 Birding while following the Conservation successful Story of Majete Wildlife Reserve-Malawi.

Racket tailed Rollers, Dickenson's Kestrel, Rock Pratincoles are not available this time could be unstable water level of Shire River submerging most of the rocks they breed in , we will keep checking till we see one, Livingstone's Flycatcher common, Feiry necked Nightjar, Square tailed Nightjar to mention a few.

Lions were seen females on a kill and Males walking along the road along Shire river very good sightings. Not forgetting a Goodbye! They will sell Malawi.

Day 7. Evergreen Forest Walk before breakfast after breakfast leaving for Majete wildlife reserve. Sightings in the forest Red capped Robinchat, White starred Robinchat, African Broadbill, Narina Trogon, Square tailed Drongo to mention a few.

Going down escarpment and Shire Valley Chilala bridge enroute to Majete wildlife reserve visited Carmine Bee eaters breeding site where we saw 5 Carmine Bee eaters in flight, White fronted Bee eaters were common. Livingstone's Flycatcher at the entrance gate of Majete wildlife reserve, Purple Heron , Lesser Stripped Swallows, Bohm's Spinetails at Chikwawa Kamuzu bridge on Shire river.

The Malawi National Women’s Football Team, the Scorchers, will tonight face Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final in Morocco.

The Scorchers, who are making their debut at the tournament, have defied the odds by overcoming some of Africa’s heavyweights, including Nigeria, Egypt, Ghana and Algeria. Meanwhile, Cameroon have beaten Mali, Ghana, Nigeria and hosts Morocco to reach the final.

The Scorchers’ impressive performance at the WAFCON has attracted widespread attention from commentators, analysts and corporates across the world. Football Association of Malawi President Fleetwood Haiya also promised the team K2 million for every match they win during the tournament.

Today is a historic day for Malawians at home and across the world who are hoping to see the Scorchers lift the WAFCON trophy for the first time in the country’s history. The team has also recently secured qualification for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The thrilling final kicks off at 9pm tonight. Neither Malawi nor Cameroon has won the WAFCON title before. Cameroon have reached the final four times in 1991, 2004, 2014 and 2016 but lost to Nigeria on each occasion.

Day 6. Thyolo House Evergreen Forest sightings Little Greebuls, Dark Backed Weavers, Speckled Weavers, African Broadbill quiet not calling two sightings three birds, Narina Trogon male as we are using "Trogon" the "Safari Van" what a coesidence. We have Bar-tailed Trogon on Logo my favorite bird, Malawi the warm heart of Africa colors. African Paradise Flycatcher, Square tailed Drongo, Grey backed Camaroptera , African Golden Oriole, African Wood Owl, found a Twig snake along the road somewhere run over by a vehicle so bad though we know now that they exist in the area as well. Birds also included Green twin spots to mention a few. , Visitemalawi

Standby for Day 7. As we do another early morning Forest Walk then after breakfast we leave for Majete wildlife reserve following the Conservation Successful Story not to be missed by anyone who like Nature. Looking for Rock Pratincole expected to start arriving in August or July end every year, Western Osprey, Carmine Bee eaters, Racket tailed Rollers, Livingstone's Flycatcher to mention a few.

Vehicles stops to see this Rock in Thyolo called Mwala wa Mthuzi believes to come back to the spot even if can be moved and placed somewhere. long time ago had heat the world news spiritual Rock well known by local people....do not miss seeing this interesting rock.
