Something new is coming…

And to really appreciate this collection, we want to take you a little behind the scenes — into the craftsmanship, experimentation, and care that went into bringing each design to life.

Songwe is our first collection using a new technique at our Malawi workshop: casting the stones directly into the metal.

It’s a process that Kyle has spent more than a year developing — testing, refining, problem-solving, and training our team until we got it just right.

The result? A whole new, elevated collection unlike anything we’ve made before. We put a special focus on rings, with each one set with a beautiful clear or olive stone.

We’ve been dreaming about these for a long time. Now we finally get to share them with you!!

Still pinching ourselves over this one. A little Malawi on stage, a little Alabama Shakes in Malawi—this moment feels really full circle.

Such a joy meeting the lovely and seeing Brittany Howard (of Alabama Shakes) on stage wearing our YEWŌ Aurora hoops (!!)

From first seeing them play in 2011, to moving to Malawi the next year, to now seeing wearing hoops I designed, made by our women-led team in Malawi… y’all, this is what it’s all about.

Connection is everywhere. The more we lean into the good—especially now—the more hope we find in it 🤍

Each piece is designed and prototyped in Asheville, NC, thoughtfully handcrafted at our studio in Malawi, then shipped out from our downtown shop (thanks, Maggie!).

We kept things a little slower this winter—open 5 days a week—but we’re now back in full swing.

Our US YEWŌ flagship in downtown Asheville, NC is officially open 7 days a week again!

Hours:
11–6 Monday–Saturday
12–5 Sunday

Maddy here—co-founder of YEWŌ—sharing a little catch-up.

Kyle, Maisey, and I just got back stateside after three months in Africa—bouncing between Malawi and South Africa.

We spent time at the YEWŌ studio in Northern Malawi with our production team, visiting our shops and the crew in Lilongwe, and making a few inspiring stops in SA.

Coming home to Asheville and feeling deeply grateful to continue the work we feel so passionate about.

Which would not be possible without our global team! Shoutout to Maggie, our incredible US shop manager, who not only held everything down but poured so much love into the space while we were away. Truly the best welcome back: catching up with this gem over an evening at our favorite restaurant ( you are a dream)

We have so much to share— behind-the-scenes stories, tree planting updates AND, a new collection— keep an eye out for a new reel coming soon.
