UNESCO is seeking emerging leaders who demonstrate a strong commitment to dialogue, inclusion, and positive social change to apply for the Second Edition Youth for Peace: UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme
Applicants must:
1. Be between 25 and 45 years old as of 22 October 2026
2. Have a demonstrated record of leadership in their field
3. Show commitment to intercultural dialogue and social impact
4. Demonstrate openness to self-reflection, dialogue across differences, and collaborative learning
5. Have the potential to influence and create positive change in their communities
6. Be available to participate fully in all programme components

Applications are now open for the 2027 AfriMAB–GRÓ Land Restoration Training Programme (GRÓ LRT) Fellowships, offering fully funded training opportunities for professionals working in African Biosphere Reserves who are actively engaged in ecosystem restoration.The six-month programme will begin on 26 February 2027 and will take place at the Agricultural University of Iceland.

Applications must include a letter of motivation, CV, academic certificates, a letter of endorsement from the applicant's Biosphere Reserve, and a letter of endorsement from the relevant MAB National Focal Point or MAB Committee.

UNESCO/Japan Young Researchers’ Fellowships Programme is calling for applications for the 2027 cycle. The call is open to young people below the age of 40 who hold at least a Masters degree in their field. Interested Malawians are requested to submit their applications to the Malawi National Commission for UNESCO via email [email protected] by 30th August 2026 to allow for preselection process before the deadline.
