Hope of Life

Hope of Life "Do what you can with the little you have". We hold the understanding that education is key in breaking Malawi's poverty cycle.

Statistics show that rural students are the most disadvantaged in their quest to get educated and pull themselves and their families out of poverty. Offering financial assistance therefore seems the most obvious solution, but another important fact not lost on the Trust is that even after successfully getting their MSCE most students will still not be able to get meaningful employment to get themselves out of poverty. The goal of Hope of Life is to therefore fill the gap in the type of interventions it offers to financially challenged students. We want to walk with the students until they grow into independent and productive citizens. To ensure that this is possible, we, as a group of friends, pool together our resources that we use to support these needy and vulnerable resources. We believe every change should start with us.

We are growing! Whoop whoop!

From supporting secondary school learners only, we are taking the dare by taking on the only learner to make it to public university from Kapiri secondary school.

Fred, will be joining LUANAR next month, and we can't be excited enough!

But, we are also anxious though hopeful that we will sustain the flame for Fred, so through him, we can brighten the future of his family and those around him.

You and I know that university education is no short order in Malawi, both monetary and otherwise.
Thus, could you help us take Fred through uni? Donate a book, bag, stationary, clothes, your time to counsel/mentor him, part time work during his holidays,...and anything that would make his school days a little more bearable.

We would love to hear from you. Let's touch the future together.

Sorry for the silence

It has been a long while we posted here, excuse our silence. We are not out of service, but have been working on the ground.
To the new followers, thank you. To the old timers, thank for staying with us.

July-September is end of academic year holiday period for both primary and secondary schools. It's also transitioning period to a higher classes.

Our hope is that while the kids are on recess, they are able to rest well with no worries of where the fees for the next term/academic year come September will come from.

Would you help us ease of the burden of accessing education, which is the very basic of needs, to our kids at Kapiri Secondary school in Dedza?

We can't but be excited and anxious for our CDSS students, especially for (right) who is one of the candidates. We are proud of and his achievements, and are happy that we can be a part of his journey. Help us wish him excellence and brilliance!
