10) The Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) is inviting applications from suitably qualified local and international candidates for admission into its full time economic fee paying Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery Programme under the School of Medicine for the 2025/2026 academic year that starts on 8th June, 2026.The closing date for receiving applications is Friday 15th May, 2026

11) Kamuzu University of Health Sciences in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) is implementing activities under the Beginnings Fund, which aims to strengthen Human Resources for Health (HRH) training in Malawi. As part of this initiative, scholarships are being offered to eligible candidates to undergo training in Bachelor of Science in Neonatal Nursing programme at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences. The Scholarship covers health workers in Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzimba. The closing date for receiving applications is Friday 15th May, 2026.

The Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ), a leading training institution for professional journalism, is inviting applications from both practicing and aspiring journalists into its block release programme

PROGRAMMES AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. DIPLOMA IN JOURNALISM

Applicants should be holders of a Certificate in Journalism or its equivalent or any related higher qualification from a recognized institution.

Applicants with a tertiary qualification must also provide a proof of their journalism work, such as an article in a publication and a recorded TV or radio program.

2. BACHELOR OF ARTS IN JOURNALISM

Applicants into the degree programme must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent, with a minimum of six credits, including English and at least a pass in Mathematics, to start in Year 1.

Those with a Diploma in Journalism or related qualification from a recognised institution with a minimum of two years of work experience in relevant field and MSCE with four credits, including English, to start in Year 2.

a) The tuition fees for Bachelors of Arts Degree is MK500, 000 per semester.

b) The tuition fees for Diploma program is MK400, 000 per semester
