Zambia's minister of Science and Technology Felix Mutati says "Data Must Fall" should be a collective effort to attain digital transformation in the African region.
Mutati made the plea this evening during the signing in ceremony of a Diplomatic Data Corridor and Memorandum of Understanding for Government to Government between Malawi and Zambia.
On his part Malawi's minister of Information and Digitalization Moses Kumkuyu said the agreements will facilitate low data prices through interconnection as well as roaming charges in the two countries.
The Electricity Supply Cooperation of Malawi (ESCOM) and Fibrecom of Zambia are implementers of the project.

Lately there's been a huge outcry from students on the issue of internet bundles offered by TNM and airtel considering how the volume of these bundles has been reduced making it even more expensive. We request that fair and lower packages for students are introduced that can be affordable to many students in Malawi.

The Internet Pe*******on Rate corresponds to the percentage of the total population of a given country or region that uses the internet. Now, with a 20.2% pe*******on rate of the total population of Malawi which is above 19 million, then as a country we are still behind. What do we do?
Please note that increased internet pe*******on can create significant growth in important sectors such as education but if we remain like this, as a country where do we see ourselves?
