Established in 1993 Bambino Schools is among the oldest and best known private school in Lilongwe. The school aims to provide quality education and excellence in the pursuit of knowledge, practical skills and moral responsibility. NURSERY AND DAYCARE
Bambino Nursery School offers an exciting learning environment for children between the ages of 1 and 5. The Nursery School uses the British Early Years Foundation curriculum which is perfect for the the development of language and literacy, understanding of the world and physical development. We have excellent learning and play facilities to bring out the best in every child. We also offer Day Care from 12 pm to 4:45 pm. Day care is also open to children who are not students of Bambino Nursery . PRIMARY SCHOOL
The Primary School offers classes from standard 1 to standard 7. We offer the Cambridge Curriculum and offer a wide variety of supplementary subjects such as French, ICT, Music and Art. HIGH SCHOOL
Bambino High School offers the Cambridge Curriculum (Form 1-3 - Lower Secondary Checkpoint, Form 4 and 5 - IGCSE)

SPECIAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
Bambino schools caters for students with learning difficulties in all sections of the school. We offer special and remedial education, occupational therapy and vocational classes. EXTRA – CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities to suit our student’s diverse needs. Including the , Interact, Leo club, German Club, French Club, Science and Technology, Cookery, Music and so much more. We are well quipped with a football and rugby pitch and netball, basketball and volleyball courts. BOARDING FACILITIES

We have boarding facilities for students from standard 1 - Form 5. We offer spacious and comfortable rooms, a delicious and healthy menu and a strict and intense study schedule for the boarders. With 24 hour care and supervision from our experienced and dedicated staff, boarders are assured of academic excellence at the end of each term.

Celebrating the era of girls and women in sport in Malawi! 🇲🇼🏀✨

While you’re enjoying the holidays, Memory Malonje (Year 8)and Caroline Themba (Year 9) are on the court, representing not only themselves but the growing generation of young Malawian girls making their mark in sport.

They are currently attending the 6th Basketball National Team Development Camp, which forms part of the final selection process for the team that will represent Malawi at the AUSC Region 5 Youth Games in Maputo, Mozambique, from 4th to 13th December 2026.

We are proud to see our students embracing opportunities, challenging themselves and showing that the future of women’s sport in Malawi is bright.🌟🏀

💙 Celebrating Prince Luka

This year's graduation also marked a very special milestone for Prince Luka, one of our Special Needs graduates.

Prince first joined Bambino during his primary school years before returning to become part of our High School Special Needs Programme. Our goal was simple: to help him strengthen his social skills, discover and develop his unique abilities, and prepare him for a more independent future.

Anyone who knows Prince knows his kind heart and willingness to help others. He quickly became a familiar face around the school, always ready to lend a hand. One of his greatest strengths is his exceptional memory. He remembers the names of students, staff, and their family members, and can even recall vehicle number plates with remarkable accuracy, a strength often associated with his autism.

Recognizing this unique ability, Prince thrived in roles such as delivering messages and managing internal post around the school, carrying out every task with enthusiasm and pride.

Having now successfully completed his Secondary Checkpoint, Prince graduates from secondary education and begins an exciting new chapter as he pursues a vocational programme that will continue building on his strengths and prepare him for meaningful employment.

Prince's journey reminds us that success looks different for every learner. At Bambino, we believe in recognising each student's unique abilities and creating pathways that allow them to flourish.

💙 A Home Away From Home

One of the most touching stories from this year's Nursery Graduation is that of Conscious, our youngest boarder.

Joining Bambino Boarding at just four years old, Conscious came to the school so his family could access the quality of education they desired, opportunities that were not available in their home community.

In what seemed like such a short time, he has grown into an independent, confident, sociable, and bright young boy, ready to begin Primary School.

During the graduation ceremony, his mother shared how difficult the decision to send such a young child to boarding had initially been. But she spoke with gratitude about the love, care, and attention he received from our boarding team, saying that every fear she had as a parent was replaced with confidence as she watched her son flourish.

At Bambino, boarding is more than accommodation. It is a caring community where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential, no matter their age.
