Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Product Development Specialist to lead the formulation and development of new energy drinks, beverages, and food items, including cashew nuts, macadamia nuts, coffee, and honey-based products. This role will work closely with the marketing, production, and R&D teams to create innovative, market-driven products that align with our brand’s vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the formulation of new energy drinks, functional beverages, and food products (including cashews, macadamias, coffee, and honey-based snacks and beverages).

• Conduct market research to understand trends, customer preferences, and competitive offerings, ensuring our products meet consumer demand.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, production, packaging) to ensure successful product launch and positioning.

• Develop product prototypes and conduct sensory testing to evaluate taste, texture, appearance, and quality.

• Oversee the scaling up of new formulations from lab scale to production scale.

• Ensure product formulations meet quality standards, nutritional guidelines, and food safety regulations.

• Maintain and improve existing product formulations to enhance performance, taste, and nutrition.

• Work with suppliers to source high-quality raw materials and ingredients.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in food science, beverage technology, and health trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Beverage Technology, Nutrition, or related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in product development or food/beverage formulation.

• Proven experience in developing functional beverages (energy drinks, smoothies, etc.) and food products.

• Strong knowledge of ingredients, formulation processes, and product development timelines.

• Experience with ingredient sourcing, nutritional analysis, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Creativity and passion for innovative food and beverage products.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

• Knowledge of food safety standards and quality control processes.

• Familiarity with sustainability practices in food and beverage production is a plus.
