Nolhivaranfaru School has evolved through various names during the long history of its journey as a school. Nolhivaranfaru School was first officially registered in the Ministry of Education as "Maktabul Qamariyya" in 19th May 1969. The name was changed to Nolhivaranfaru Madharusa in 1997, while the school is named as Nolhivaranfaru School since 21st September 2003.
