πŸ”¨πŸŽ¨ Learning by Doing at Veshige Nature House! 🌿

Our Grade 5 students enjoyed an exciting hands-on experience at Veshige Nature House through the Kuda Gon'di – Make & Paint (Island Life) activity.
From exploring local timber and learning about woodworking tools to practicing essential building skills, our young creators stepped into the role of woodworkers for the day. Guided by safety, creativity, and teamwork, they measured, hammered, drilled, sanded, and painted their very own Kuda Gon'di (small stool chair).

The highlight of the day? Taking home a handcrafted souvenir built with their own hands! πŸͺ‘βœ¨
Experiences like these help students develop practical skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper appreciation for traditional island craftsmanship.

Intellect Month was designed to enhance communication skills, promote critical thinking, and build confidence and teamwork among our students. Through activities such as persuasive writing, persuasive speech, debate, spelling bee, and newspaper reading, students were given the opportunity to express their ideas, think critically, and showcase their talents.

After a highly competitive in-class round, the Best 5 students from each class were selected to advance to Round 2, where they competed as teams, demonstrating outstanding collaboration, creativity, and academic excellence.

Congratulations to our Winning Team and to the students who were recognized as Best Overall Writer, Best Debator, Best Speller, and Best Presenter for their exceptional achievements.

A special congratulations to all students who participated. Your enthusiasm, hard work, courage, and willingness to challenge yourselves made Intellect Month a great success. Every participant should be proud of their efforts and accomplishments.

πŸ‘ Keep learning, thinking critically, communicating confidently, and striving for excellence. We are incredibly proud of you all!
