Gaafaru School

Gaafaru School Search, Solve and Succeed Gaafaru School is a government owned school and try to achieve successful existence.

It was established in 1980 and was then known as “Gaafaru Makthabu.”
In 1992 the School’s name changed to “Gaafaru Madharusa” and in 2006 moved to the present. The first batch of students appeared for Cambridge Examinations, IGCSE and SSC Examinations in the year in the 2008.

On September 9, 2026, our Grade 4 students embarked on an exciting and educational field trip to the STELCO water plant to learn all about desalination, the amazing process of turning ocean water into safe, drinkable water!

Our young learners had a fantastic time observing the process firsthand and discovering how science and technology work together to provide essential resources for our community.

A very special thank you to Shazleen and Afunaan from STELCO for warmly welcoming our students, and for explicitly conveying and explaining every single step of the process so clearly. Experiences like this make learning truly unforgettable!

As part of our Butterfly Theme, our UKG children watched a caterpillar transform into a beautiful butterfly. 🐛🦋

Through this hands-on experience, the children learned about the butterfly life cycle, growth, change, and the importance of caring for living things. 💛

Reflecting on August: The Power of Punctuality ⏰✨
Throughout the month of August, our school assemblies have been dedicated to an essential life skill: punctuality.

Facilitated wonderfully by our Key Stage 3 students, this month-long theme brought meaningful reflections, engaging presentations, and important reminders about the value of time, responsibility, and being on time for our daily endeavors. From creative roleplays to practical examples, our students explored how respecting time shapes our character and sets us up for success.
