Faculty of Shariah and Law

The Faculty conducted the orientation programme for PhD students on 22 February 2026. A warm welcome was extended to 1 student enrolled in Islamic Studies and 4 students enrolled in Islamic Shariah. The programme introduced the students to the Faculty, guidelines and marking the beginning of their doctoral journey.

Today (4 February 2026), the Faculty of Shariah and Law at MNU conducted its Orientation Programme for Term 1 of the 2026 Academic Year, which officially commences on 8 February 2026.

Pursue an in-depth study of Islamic knowledge through the Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Dhivehi) at The Maldives National University. This programme provides a rigorous academic foundation in Islamic theology, jurisprudence, history, and related disciplines, delivered in Dhivehi to strengthen scholarly understanding within the local context.

Designed at the undergraduate level (MNQF Level 7), the programme develops critical thinking, analytical skills, and ethical perspectives essential for advanced studies and professional roles in religious, legal, educational, and community settings.
