Nature Nurturers had a meaningful and enriching experience exploring climate change, human rights, and our connection with nature.
Students participated in a guided nature walk with a forager, learning about local plants, including rare species and their medicinal uses, and took part in an intertidal exploration led by a marine biologist, discovering the rich biodiversity of our marine environment.
The programme also featured engaging discussions on climate action and youth leadership, along with a relaxing vinyl listening session during the break.
It was inspiring to see students actively engage, explore, and deepen their understanding of the world around them. 🌿🌊🌍

A beach cleanup activity was held last Thursday evening to commemorate World Environment Day. The event was organized by the Nature Nurturers/Ocean Club in collaboration with Parley. Students actively participated in cleaning the beach area near Salman Mosque, collecting and properly disposing of waste to help preserve the coastal environment and raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.

⚽ Celebrating the FIFA World Cup and the Global Goals! ⚽

Today, our students and staff celebrated the start of the FIFA World Cup by coming to school wearing the jerseys of their favourite national teams.

As part of the celebration, we collaborated with the United Nations to connect football with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students participated in face painting, cupcake decorating, and selected an SDG that inspired them, writing down one action they can take to contribute towards achieving that goal.

Just as success in football requires teamwork, achieving the 17 Global Goals also depends on all of us working together to create a better future.

Today, we celebrate the kickoff of the Football World Cup. As one of the most loved sports in the Maldives, football brings great excitement to our students, who have been eagerly awaiting this moment.

As we mark this occasion, we encourage our students to become global citizens, embracing different cultures, traditions and values while building connections with people around the world through respect and cooperation.

As we come together on the field to play, let us also remember to appreciate one another, show kindness, and celebrate our shared humanity.

🏐 Inter-House Volleyball Tournament 2026 – Champions Crowned! 🏆

After several days of exciting matches, outstanding teamwork, and incredible house spirit, our Inter-House Volleyball Tournament has come to an end.

Congratulations to Delta House for emerging as Champions in both the Boys’ and Girls’ divisions! 🥇🏆

A special congratulations also goes to Gamma House, who finished as Runners-Up in both the Boys’ and Girls’ divisions after a strong and determined performance throughout the tournament. 🥈

Well done to all students who participated and represented their houses with passion, commitment, and sportsmanship. Thank you to the staff, officials, and supporters who helped make this tournament a success.

We look forward to seeing more exciting competition in our future inter-house events!

A new chapter begins as we welcomed our newly joined students at the welcome meeting , graced by the esteemed Rector of Villa College, Principal Ali Musthafa, the management and staff of VIHS.

Students were encouraged to aspire for excellence in their studies, turn their parents' dreams into reality, and set their sights on admission to the world's leading universities. They were reminded to let faith guide their choices, to pursue knowledge with purpose, and to become educated citizens who can confidently raise their voices on international platforms in service of the nation.

Most importantly, they were urged to stay true to their values and say no to anything that may adversely affect their future.
