“Ilm Talk” is a series of events organized by “Jamiyyathu Rahma” to create religious awareness in Maldivian community and enlighten people with knowledge in Islam. We believe conducting public interactive lecture sessions by renowned scholars is the finest way to deliver much needed information and knowledge to create awareness. Ilm Talk 2015:
We started Ilm Talk last year, from October 21st to 24th; held a public conference addressed by 15 world famous lecturers; Prf. Munther Elharm (UK), Ghaazi Bin Ali Al Ghaamid (Saudi Arabia), Prf. Musfir Bin Ali (Saudi Arabia), AbdulHalim Zeidan (Lebanon), Mohana Najim (Palestine), Dr. Nader M. Abdul Muhusin Zikri (Saudi Arabia), Usthaz Imran Arakani (Saudi Arabia), Prf. Mohamed Abdurahman (Qatar) and Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed (Maldives). This successful event was a houseful, attended by over 200 people including many local scholars and students, who pre-registered to attend the event. A recording of the event was later aired by local channels. Massive support from the community was observed during this event with raising anticipation towards more events of the series. Ilm Talk 2016:
This year, in association with the Student Unions of Maldives National University and Islamic University of Maldives, we are organizing the event with the most influential global Muslim scholar, M***i Ismail Menk to address the public on the topic “Haqqul Muslim al-Muslim (Rights of Muslims towards other Muslims)”. Ilm Talk 2016 will be held at the Islamic Center (Open Area) in Male’ on 18th November 2016, from 2100hrs to 2300hrs.
