How do you sculpt a feeling? This week, we explored just that! Using aluminum foil for armatures and air-dry clay, we bent, twisted, and shaped our way into understanding how posture and gesture speak volumes. The results? Amazingly expressive figures full of life and emotion.

Last month, we explored art from different cultures. We learnt about patterns from African cultures and created these vibrant patterned lizards. It was a beautiful reminder that learning art from across the world doesn’t just teach us new techniques—it connects us to different histories, stories, and ways of seeing beauty.

🦞 Seeing the world through an artist’s eyes starts with looking closely! For this lesson,we practiced drawing from life, using miniature lobster toys to study form and texture.
We learned how an underpainting layer helps us achieve the brightest and most accurate colors in our final artwork. ✨🦞
