Session conducted for Horizon Fisheries Maldives employees on occupational health and safety. The session was facilitated by senior lecturer Aminath Shiuna and Senior Lecturer Sizna Mohamed.

The School of Nursing, Maldives National University, recently conducted an engaging session on Positive Thinking, Leadership, and Workplace Mental Health for the nurses of Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital.

Facilitated by Ms. Fathimath Khumaira, Lecturer, and Ms. Khadeeja Shakir, Senior Lecturer, the session was highly interactive, with participants actively engaged throughout. Nurses expressed their appreciation and shared that they felt motivated and inspired following the program.

Together, we continue to promote leadership, resilience, and positive mental wellbeing within the nursing profession.

Master of Nursing second semester student seminar.

The Preschool Educational Activity was successfully conducted on 17th and 18th May 2026 by the 3rd Semester BN and ADN students, with 700 preschool students participating.

Participating schools included Excel International School, Maafannu Madharusa, Falah Preschool, and Galolhu Madharusa

The activity focused on teaching preschool children about the different body systems and their functions through fun, interactive, and engaging learning experiences. The sessions encouraged active participation and created an enjoyable environment for young learners to explore basic concepts about the human body.

Thank you to all participating schools and 3rd-semester students for making this event a meaningful and successful experience. Thank you Niares for your support as always.

School of Nursing held the Dean’s Award and SN Achievers Award Ceremony in recognition of students outstanding performance and dedication.

A total of 81 students received the Dean’s Award, while 44 students received SN Achievers Award.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the award recipients and wish them continued success in their academic journeys.

To celebrate International Nurses Week 2026 , the School of Nursing, The Maldives National University participated in career guidance event organized by Malé City Group of Hospital-Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for secondary school students across the Greater Malé area.

The School of Nursing proudly presented “Level Up Quest”, an engaging and interactive experience designed to inspire and empower future nurses. Through exciting games and activities, students explored nursing career pathways and learned about the educational opportunities available at MNU, while gaining insight into the rewarding and dynamic world of nursing.

• Panel discussion ”Empowered Nurses Save Lives: Are We Preparing Students For This Role?”• Research presentations by nursing students• A reflective workshop for Nurse Educators• Inauguration of Nurse MV Magazine• Cake cutting ceremony in celebration of nurses

The event highlighted nursing empowerment, leadership, education, and research of future nurses in shaping the future of healthcare.

Health Check up.
A successful health checkup activities was carried out. Activities included checking BMI, Blood pressure monitoring, checking RBS, waist hip ratio, body fat percentage and cognitive functioning.
