Maldives Institute of Local Governance

Training on Finance and Preparation of Financial Statements held from 28–30 July 2026 in N. Kendhikulhudhoo has successfully completed. The training focused on preparation of financial statements in accordance with the IPSAS Cash Basis, as well as the preparation of receipts and statements of income and expenditure.

Today's Fanaaru session for LGA staff focused on the Introduction to Graphic Design. The session provided participants with a basic understanding of graphic design, including its key principles, the importance of visual communication, and how effective designs can be created using simple design techniques.

LGA facilitated a session on the Island Development Plan during Viluntheri Binaaru – the Training Programme on Resilient Infrastructure and Risk-Informed Local Planning, held in collaboration with UNDP Maldives and the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development on 4th August 2026 in Laamu atoll.
