The first VIHS Model United Nations Conference, on the agenda 'Climate Change', was held on 29th April 2023. 75 participants debated and collaborated together to outline the impacts of climate change on different countries, and came up with solutions for this very pressing issue. Before the event, these participants spent weeks researching about climate change, its causes, and its effects. We believe this was an incredibly exciting, enlightening and successful event! The event was organized in collaboration with English Consortio and Nature Nurturers.

The proposal of introducing more sustainable ways of farming such as hydroponics which is used in vertical farming. Growing crops in nutrient rich water without soil. And in vertical stacked layers.
With this method we can have higher crop yield in less land requirement. It is also more water efficient, requires less energy and labour and we are able to produce higher quality crop

PILA is an automatic waste segregator that can detect and sort waste into metal, plastic or wet waste.
This model is just a prototype that uses an Arduino, servomotors and different sensors.
We plan to develop PILA further into a machine that can be used both commercially and industrially.
Thank you team, RAF, AZAN and MALSHA for their effort, company and dedication.
