The Dean of the School of Nursing, Ms. Aminath Shafia, and Head of the Department of Nursing Sciences, Ms. Zeena Abdul Qayyoom, visited MNU Kulhudhuffushi Campus from 29–30 August 2026.

During their visit, they met with the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital Management, the Nursing Department, the Kulhudhuffushi Campus Management Committee, and School of Nursing staff & students.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to engage with staff and students, hear their experiences and perspectives, and strengthen collaboration in advancing nursing education and clinical learning at Kulhudhuffushi Campus

An inspiring session on “Achieving Dreams and Setting the Mindset as High Performers,” was facilitated for our students International Keynote Speaker Afeef Hussain.

The session encouraged students to dream bigger, build the right mindset, and develop the confidence and discipline needed to perform at their best. Through practical insights and inspiring reflections, students were reminded that achieving their goals begins with how they think, the choices they make, and the actions they take every day.

A valuable opportunity to inspire our students to look beyond limitations, believe in their potential, and turn their aspirations into action.

Days 2 and 3 of the 'Student Enrichment Programme' focused on practical skills, academic success and building connections within the university community.

Day 2 featured a session on Financial Literacy and Academic Motivation, facilitated by Mohamed Shamoon, Lecturer of MNU Business School. Students explored the importance of making responsible financial choices, developing good money-management habits and maintaining the motivation and discipline needed to work towards their academic goals.

Day 3 provided students with an opportunity to meet and interact with senior students from different batches. Through conversations and shared experiences, our new students were able to gain practical insights into university life, ask questions and learn from those who have already walked the path they are beginning.

The programme concluded with a Study Skills session facilitated by Mohamed Hussain, Senior Lecturer of Faculty of Engineering, Science and Technology, where students explored strategies for effective learning, managing their studies and developing habits that can support their academic success.

Together, these sessions aimed to help our new students feel more prepared, connected and confident as they begin their journey at MNU.

The journey through university is about more than academic achievement. It is also about learning to take care of yourself, manage challenges, and create balance along the way.

Day 1 of the 'Student Enrichment Programme' for the newly enrolled School of Nursing students began with three sessions designed to support their transition into university life.

🌿 Introduction & Self-Care, facilitated by Rasheedha Ali, Senior Lecturer, School of Nursing, encouraged students to recognise the importance of looking after their physical, emotional and personal wellbeing while adapting to the demands of university.

🧠 Understanding & Managing Stress at University, facilitated by Fathimath Mohamed, Senior Lecturer, School of Nursing helped students understand common sources of stress in university life and explore practical ways to manage pressure, build resilience and seek support when needed.

⚖️ Balancing Academic & Personal Life, facilitated by the Campus Manager, Aminath Ali, encouraged students to reflect on their priorities, manage their time effectively, set healthy boundaries and find a balance between their studies, personal responsibilities, relationships and wellbeing.

Day 1 was about helping our students begin this new chapter with the understanding that success at university is not simply about studying harder—it is also about developing habits and skills that enable them to thrive. We hope these conversations will help our new students approach their university journey with greater confidence, self-awareness and a commitment to taking care of themselves while pursuing their academic goals.
