Dhiffushi School Lighten up the darkness through wisdom Dhiffushi School was established in 1981 as a community school. Hussain Fikuree (Finihiyaage/ K.

Dhiffushi) was credited with the establishment of the School and the first person who officially brought the tastes of modern education in Dhiffushi. The School later, in 2006 became a government school and it came under the ministry of education.

Dhiffushi School proudly marks the official inauguration of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for 2026.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed PTA Executive Committee Members and Class Representatives, and warmly welcome them as we begin this new chapter together.

We also express our sincere appreciation to the 2025 PTA EXCO and all parents who contributed their time and effort—your dedication has made a lasting impact on our school community.

We extend a warm welcome to Mr. Mathieu Brossard, Regional Education Advisor for South Asia at UNICEF, on his official visit to Dhiffushi School on 4 February 2026.

The UNICEF delegation included:
• Mr. Mathieu Brossard – Regional Advisor for Education
• Mr. Sushil Upreti – UNV Digital Learning
• Mr. Mohamed Youshau – Intern, Youth Engagement

During the visit, the team met with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to discuss key challenges in the transition to upper secondary education and employment, as well as the implementation of TechPath. The discussions focused on strengthening pathways that better prepare students with the skills and competencies needed for future learning and the world of work.

We appreciate the continued partnership with UNICEF in supporting quality education and smoother school-to-work transitions for our learners.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Secretariat of the Dhiffushi Council, Male' Atoll for their kind support in facilitating travel arrangements for the team.
