On Friday, 17 July 2026, we proudly concluded our Annual Music Day Celebrations with vibrant performances by our Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6 pupils. Their energy, talent, and enthusiasm brought our celebrations to a wonderful close.

This occasion was especially meaningful for our Grade 6 pupils, as it marked their final Music Day celebration at Northlands. We wish them every success as they continue their journey and look forward to celebrating future Music Days in secondary school.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated teachers for their hard work and commitment throughout the rehearsals. We also thank our parents for their continuous support and for ensuring that every pupil was beautifully dressed according to their performance theme.

Happy Holidays to all our pupils, parents, and staff. We wish you a safe, restful, and joyful break!

[International World Yoga Day]
As part of the celebration of World Yoga Day 2026, our children participated in an enriching yoga session conducted by Mr. Praveen Kumar, Founder of Ayu Sadhna Yoga and Wellness Centre and Wellness Consultant.

Through a series of simple and engaging exercises, students learned the importance of breathing techniques, concentration, flexibility, and relaxation. The session highlighted how yoga is not linked to any religion but is a healthy practice that promotes physical fitness, mental well-being, and inner balance.

We sincerely thank Mr. Praveen Kumar for sharing his expertise and inspiring our learners to adopt healthy habits that will benefit them throughout their lives.

At Northlands, we strongly believe that academic success must go hand in hand with physical and emotional well-being. In a world increasingly dominated by screens, it is more important than ever to encourage our children to stay active, practise mindfulness, and develop healthy habits that will support them throughout their lives.

Closing Ceremony of our Annual Sports Day 2026 with the Pre-Primary section 🏅

Our Annual Sports Day provided our Pre-Primary pupils with a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow and develop through play.

Through a variety of fun and engaging activities, our young learners strengthened their gross and fine motor skills, improved their eye-hand coordination, and developed balance, agility and spatial awareness. Each activity was carefully designed to support their overall physical development while fostering confidence, perseverance and teamwork.

More than a competition, Sports Day is a celebration of participation, effort and personal achievement. Seeing our children challenge themselves with enthusiasm and joy reminds us that every small step contributes to their growth and development.

[World Environment Day 2026]

We were delighted to welcome the Grade 4 pupils and staff of Sunfield City School as part of a friendship initiative between our two schools.

In line with 2026 theme: "Inspired by Nature, for the Climate, for Our Future," pupils participated in the symbolic planting of an ebony tree and an apple tree.

As a token of friendship and appreciation, Northlands proudly offered a Badamier tree.

Together, we are inspiring our pupils to become ambassadors of nature and positive change while helping to preserve Mauritius, our beautiful island paradise, for future generations.

[World Environment Day 2026]

On the occasion of World Environment Day, celebrated today, 5 June 2026, under the theme "Inspired by Nature, for the Climate, for Our Future," our Pre-Primary, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 pupils participated in a variety of meaningful environmental activities.

Through hands-on experiences such as learning about composting, recycling, tree planting and creating eco-friendly projects, our young learners explored practical ways to care for the environment and contribute to a more sustainable future.

These activities helped foster environmental awareness, responsibility and respect for nature from an early age.
