Case Challenge Competition 2014, powered by AIESEC Mauritius is an annual competition that brings together undergraduate university students and HSC school leavers in Mauritius to compete in a fast-paced and challenging business case study. The main objectives of this competition is to offer an excellent opportunity for students to gain exposure to “real” business cases and to compete in analyzing

and presenting the cases to judges. Participants for this competition are not required to have business studies background. Registration for Case Challenge 2014 started on the 19th of April 2014 and will close on the 19th of June 2014. 50 teams will be selected to participate in the first round of the competition. The first case will be released on the day after on the website of the case challenge Competition 2014 and the participating teams will have to submit a brief of their answer together with a PPT presentation within 7 days. Deadline of Submission of the first case is on the 28th of June 2014 at 13:00. The panel of judges will have from the 28th of June to 3rd of July for the correction of the answers. They will follow a predefined mark sheet to correct the answers. The best 15 teams will be selected for the semi-finals and will be announced on the 3rd of July and the final best 9 teams will go to the finals. The presentation will determine the finalists. Final case will be released on Sunday July 6 and Finalists will have 8 days to submit their written solutions. At this stage, no changes/alterations will be allowed. The finals will be held on July 19 at the MCB St-Jean whereby participants will this time be assessed on both their oral and written presentation at the same time. Case Challenge Competition 2014 is sponsored and facilitated by the MCB Group. Awards – Winners of this competition will win prizes as follows:

1st – Cash Prize of Rs. 25, 000 + Shield
2nd – Cash Prize of Rs. 15, 000 + Shield
3rd – Cash Prize of RS. 10,000 + Shield

Certificate of participation will be given to all participants. The finals of Case Challenge 2014 was held on the 19th July 2014 and saw the team Diamonds comprising of Harshini Kusum Neelvashi Seetohul, Mohini Cowlasur and Vinam Mandary winning the coveted prize money of Rs 25,000.

152 students, mainly from tertiary institutions of Mauritius, participated in the Case Challenge Competition 2014.

The “Mighty Swifts”, with Rushdana Janoo, Esha Kamur Appadu, Disha Bhantooa and Nursy Ramasawmy.

3rd Prize: Rs 10,000
“The 4 Strategists” with Yash Bhagoban, Pooja Mulloo, Veerendra Kooshna and Diptee Kutowaroo.
