Dear all,
I know that there are courses that have not yet received their results.
After questions to Council today, it was made aware that the Vice Chancellor upon his powers, previously had the authority to approve results which now is possible only by Senate. Results will be uploaded after the next Senate(which I have been told is start of August). In fact, many of you might be unaware that there has been a restructuration of the University of Mauritius following the Manraj Report in February 2013 whereby the statutes of the University Act have been amended and UoM is on a transitional phase.
After questions asked on Council today, it was assured that the Student Registration will be extended. I also asked about payment facilities whereby it was said the necessary will be done(follow-up will be needed).

Dear all,
It is known that the services provided by the current UoM cafeteria have been subject to much criticism and which has gone to the press. The Council of UoM wishes to inform you that, following the report of the Bid Evaluation Committee, there will be a new provider for the UoM cafetaria services as from the 1st July. There might be a transitional period and minimum services will be offered to us until the new one takes over.
