Since Mauritius was district-aligned under Toastmasters District 74 on 1 July 2021, my focus shifted fully toward District leadership and service.

Leadership at that level demands time, energy, and presence. I chose to give it my full commitment.

In 2015, I was honoured to be crowned National Champion in International Prepared Speech.
That moment closed one chapter…
and opened another.

Over the next five years, I focused on building my professional speaking business — working with organisations, developing leaders, and refining my craft beyond contests and trophies.

Those years culminated in earning the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation — the gold standard in professional speaking.

Being the first Mauritian to earn it, among fewer than 800 CSPs worldwide, remains deeply humbling.

For nearly a decade, I did not participate in speaking competitions.

Which is why entering the PSAI Impactful Speakers Award 2026 felt quietly significant.

Being selected among the Top 20 speakers, from hundreds of accomplished voices, was not about proving anything.

It was about reconnecting with the craft from a place of maturity, experience, and service.

What made this recognition meaningful was its emphasis on impact, not performance.

The submission was not polished.
Not rehearsed.
Not engineered.
It was simply real.

After 17 years as a full-time professional speaker, this global platform reminded me of something important:
✨ Impact does not expire.
✨ Experience still speaks.
✨ A voice shaped by service remains relevant.

Not every season is meant for the spotlight.
Some are meant for building.
Others, for returning — not louder, but truer.
