The 18ᵗʰ Mauritius Dragon Boat Festival was held on June 14 at Caudan Waterfront in Port Louis.
The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Arts and Culture of Mauritius, the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius, the China Cultural Center in Mauritius, Dragon and Lion Dance Association, the Chinese Speaking Union and Port Louis Waterfront and Caudan Development Ltd.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Huang Shifang, Hon. Minister of Arts and Culture Mr. Mahendra Gondeea, Hon. Minister of Commerce and Consumer Protection Mr. John Michael Tzoun Sao Yeung S*k Yuen, Hon. Junior Minister of Youth and Sports Mrs. Eileen Karen Lee Chin FOO KUNE-BACHA, Lord Mayor of Port Louis Mrs. Christelle Pondard and other eminent personalities attended the event, along with thousands of local residents and tourists.
The festival featured dragon boat races, cultural performances, and lion and dragon dances, showcasing the spirit of teamwork and cultural exchange between China and Mauritius.

Congratulations to the winners especially Miss MOOROOGEN ANYA from Notre Dame de Lourdes RCA School, who won the championship, and all the participants of the 6th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Show final for Primary School Students in Mauritius at the China Cultural Center in Mauritius on the morning of May 30. The competition was jointly hosted by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Mauritius and the Ministry of Education and Human Resource, and organized by the China Cultural Center in Mauritius. Mr. Yang Jun, Cultural Counselor of Chinese Embassy and Director of China Cultural Center in Mauritius and Mr. Soobeeraj Parmessa, Assistant Director, E-Education and Technical Education of the Ministry of Education and Human Resource together with other eminent personalities attended the event and presented the awards to the winners.
