Rather than reading it on its own, strive to study it together with one of its authentic explanations (Sharḥ). The explanations of our senior scholars uncover the evidence, clarify the author's intent, explain subtle issues of Tawheed, and protect the reader from misunderstanding. This allows one to benefit fully from one of the greatest books ever written on the worship of Allah alone.
May Allah grant us beneficial knowledge, sincere action, and steadfastness upon Tawḥīd.

There is a clear difference between the understanding of the Companions (رضي الله عنهم) and Sufi claims. The awliyaa do not control the universe, do not know the unseen, and do not respond to calls—Allah alone controls all affairs.
