Congratulations to all our students who represented Labourdonnais College in the National Spelling Bee competition.
A special well done to Joholee Rizwaan from Grade 7 and Goorbin Yashveer from Grade 9 for qualifying for the National Spelling Bee Finals!
Spelling in front of an audience, under pressure, and against strong competitors is not easy. All our participants showed courage, focus and determination throughout the competition.
We are proud of each one of you for your effort, preparation and positive attitude. You represented the school beautifully.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the teachers, esp Ms Dowlut, who worked hard to guide, support and prepare our students. Their dedication and encouragement played an important role in this achievement.
Well done to all our participants, and best wishes to our finalists for the next stage! 💪📖🐝

Labourdonnais College is proud to congratulate our Grade 8 student, Josh Lim Yu Choy, who has been selected to participate in the Table Tennis WTT Youth Star Contender Bangkok 2026 in Thailand.
This is a wonderful achievement and a great opportunity for Josh to showcase his talent, discipline and dedication on an international platform.

🌍 Model United Nations 2026
Our Grade 12 students proudly took part in Model United Nations (MUN) 2026.
Two delegations from Grade 12 Red and Grade 12 Blue represented North Korea and Egypt.
Through this activity, students had the opportunity to research, discuss, speak in public, and take part in debates. They were guided by their English General Paper teacher, who helped them prepare for the event.
At Labourdonnais College, we want to give students more opportunities to build confidence, improve their communication skills, and think more critically.
For this reason, LC will soon introduce a Debate Club, where students will continue to develop their speaking skills, confidence, and ability to express their ideas clearly.
Well done to all our students and their teacher.

📚 Spelling Bee Buzz: Celebrating Words, Books & Brilliance on World Book Day! 🐝✨
A special occasion dedicated to celebrating World Book Day and honouring the legacy of William Shakespeare, our English Department proudly organised a Grade 7 Spelling Bee Competition. It was a special moment to remind students how important reading and language are. The competition helped them build confidence, improve their spelling and vocabulary and enjoy learning in a fun and supportive environment.
Students from Grades 10 and 11 joined as the audience and shared encouraging words with the younger participants, which really added to the positive atmosphere.
All participants and winners received certificates and gifts to recognise their effort and participation.

Celebrating International Design Day: A Journey Through Student Creativity
In celebration of World Designers Day, we are proud to highlight the creativity and talent of our Design and Technology students, who have brought their ideas to life through a variety of impressive furniture and product designs.
Through imagination, patience and practical skills, our students transformed simple materials into pieces that are both functional and visually appealing. From compact storage units to multi-purpose furniture, each project tells a story of planning, creativity, problem-solving and careful craftsmanship.
These designs are more than just products. They reflect the students’ ability to think, create, improve and respond to real needs; the true spirit of design.
At LC, we are pleased to see our learners exploring design principles, sustainability and innovation while expressing their own unique ideas.
We warmly congratulate our talented students for their dedication, effort and creativity and thank our teachers, under the guidance of Mr Mohamedally, for their hard work and dedication. Their work reminds us that every meaningful product begins with a simple idea, shaped by hard work and imagination.
Happy World Designers Day!
