Developing the next generation of Mauritian leaders and entrepreneurs. Mauritius' greatest need is ethical and entrepreneurial leadership.

YUVA Academy seeks to transform Mauritius by developing a powerful network of young leaders who will work together to address Mauritius' greatest challenges, achieve extraordinary social impact, and accelerate the country's growth trajectory. Too often, we only invest in addressing the symptoms of poor leadership in Mauritius: we give blankets, food, and medicine to those impacted by poverty, or we cannot create enough jobs for our young people. But these efforts will never stop unless we develop leaders who prevent adopt good governance, entrepreneurs who create jobs, and innovators that develop lasting solutions to the root causes of Mauritius' problems. We aim to develop the future Nelson Mandela, the next Wangari Maathai, and the Mauritian Bill Gates.

A beautiful day. A full room. A powerful cause.

We gathered for a deeply meaningful workshop focused on business skills, financial literacy, and digital transformation for women building from home in Mauritius. These are not small stories. These are women building families, futures, and dignity.

From island roots to global friendships.

Team Mauritius 2026 had a warm and inspiring online meet-up with Team North Macedonia for the FIRST Global Social Challenge.

The students exchanged stories about culture, national identity, traditions, and the pride of representing their countries. Moments like these show why FIRST Global is bigger than robotics. It teaches young people to build machines, but also bridges.

This workshop reminded us that when women are given the right space, tools, and encouragement, something shifts. Confidence grows. Vision sharpens. Possibility becomes real.

A robot may compete, but people connect.

Team Mauritius 2026 joined Team North Macedonia on Google Meet for a meaningful cultural exchange through the FIRST Global Social Challenge.

Both teams shared the colours, stories, traditions, and spirit of their countries. It was a beautiful reminder that robotics is not only about engineering. It is also about empathy, curiosity, and friendship across nations.

What a powerful gathering this was!

Our workshop for Women Home-Based Workers in Mauritius brought together women with courage, hunger, ideas, and the willingness to grow. The room was full, but more importantly, it was alive with ambition.

Borders became bridges today.

Team Mauritius 2026 met Team North Macedonia online as part of the FIRST Global Social Challenge, sharing stories about culture, identity, food, traditions, and what it means to represent their countries.

Before they meet on the robotics field, they are already learning the deeper lesson of FIRST Global: technology connects best when young people first understand one another.

This was more than a workshop. It was a statement.

A statement that women building from home deserve serious investment, practical tools, and real opportunities. A statement that growth begins when courage meets the right support.
