Masjid Al-Ghurabaa Pereybere
Al Ghuraba Mosque, situated in pereybere is a more than a decade mosque.it has been founded in October 2001.Its cornerstone was placed by late Mrs Nazmoon Nessa Nuseeb(Ibrahim). The mosque was inaugurated on Friday 6 Rajab 1423 (13 september 2002).It is managed by Al Ghuraba Islamic Foundation, which is an independent islamic society
consisting of 11 executive members. Generally, It has a capacity of 165 persons but can host up to 200 persons.The mosque has also a dedicated area for ladies. All prayers, including taraweeh prayers in Ramadan are performed in masjid al Ghuraba with the expection of the two Eid prayers. Among the many activities hosted by the Al Ghurabaa Mosque are :
Tajweed lesson by Br. Reza Damaree every Friday after maghrib and continued after swalat Esha with brief lesson on islam. Learn how to read Quran for beginners everyday between Ásr and Maghrib prayer. Fortnightly talk by special guests. Beach Dawa once a year
Recenlty started Dawa program in the vicinity of pereybere. Alhamdulillah, one sister embraced Islam on Friday 12 June 2015. The activities of the mosque are also posted on page :
This Mosque promotes unicity of the Muslim Ummah in Mauritius and we also welcome foreigners.We have got many good feedback from foreigners also. some of our future projects are:
