Thank you for being more than teachers. For looking after our most beloved treasures. Its been a strange year and you have all made it so normal.
A unique opportunity where a commercial land and building is on sale, at work in progress state, located in Port Louis, Mauritius, 500 metres Caudan waterfront, exactly at the back of Eal Man Hin Honda showroom which can be ideal for your business expansion.

The total surface area of the building is 4400 sqft ground floor plus first floor occupies only 50 toises of land upon a total of 143 toises thereby leaving a parking space of 25 cars, in front and on the left hand side.

Many business opportunities can be implemented such as :
1- Back office for banks, BPO, financial and investment companies.
2- Rental of apartments for expatriates
3- Registered Business Centre for local, foreign and offshore companies with proper administrative, secretarial and accountancy services.
4- Warehousing for distribution or deposit centre.
5- Accomodation for overseas students of private universities in Mauritius.
6- Residential apartments for sale or rental.
7- Guest house for old age persons.

I am the sole owner of the property and the selling price is Rs14 m ,which had also been evaluated by the MCB three years ago at the same value of Rs14m. This purchase could be of a high savings costs benefit in terms of rental costs with a high return on investment.

For more details plse send me your whatsap number or your email address.

Thanking you in advance for your kind attention and plse do not hesitate to contact me for any further details you may require

This week we are featuring the personal goal: RESPECTFUL.

This goal is represented by a bee. Bees respect nature and care for our plants by collecting the pollen and pollinating other flowers. They are helpful and provide us with honey.

At Greencoast we want students to be caring towards others around them and to ensure they model behaviour that they would like others to show towards them. They need to be respectful of the Greencoast environment, it's plants and trees.

We encourage the students to respect the resources in the classroom and learn to become autonomous by looking after and organising their own possessions.

This week we are featuring the personal goal : Communicator.

This goal is represented by a parrot. We want the students to communicate confidently using more than one language by the time they leave Greencoast. The first 3 years at Greencoast are essential for building a firm base of English to allow each student to access the curriculum. Once students progress into Year 2 they start to learn French using a phonic based approach called Planet Des Alphas. This mirrors the approach used to teach English with Jolly Phonics.

We encourage the students to become communicators when they first join the school and they are expected to join in daily discussions with their teachers and classmates. We also encourage them to express themselves and justify their opinions. Rather than saying I like the colour blue, we encourage them to explain why. For example: I like the colour blue, it reminds me of the sea.

Students also develop their communication skills during the units of learning by sharing their knowledge, presenting information and talking about their learning with parents during exit points.

13/10/2020

This week we are featuring the personal goal: Collaborator.

This goal is represented by an ant. Ants frequently collaborate to get jobs done, such as carrying big leaves back to the nest together in order to feed the whole colony.

At Greencoast, we often encourage students to work on projects collaboratively. For example, Pre-reception classes have worked together as a class to build a shop for their classroom. They have
helped to plan what they will need and decided together what their shop would sell. These small projects help the students learn about sharing ideas, reaching a compromise and planning tasks by
allocating different jobs to students. It is an important lesson to learn that we cannot achieve everything on our own.

28/09/2020

This week we are featuring the personal goal: Resilient.

This goal is represented by a tortoise. The students are introduced to the concept of resilience by reading the story of the Hare and the Tortoise. They develop an understanding that we have to sometimes practice skills over and over again before we can become proficient.

At Greencoast, we model resilience by getting children to try again and improve on their first attempt of something. Getting students to complete their work in a given time frame often means the teachers can be heard saying ' Come on ...... be resilient and let's get this finished before you start another activity'

22/09/2020

This week we are featuring the personal goal: Thinker.

This goal is represented by a monkey. Often monkeys demonstrate their thinking skills by using things around them to help them get food, such as using stones to break open nuts and shells to get the seeds inside.

At Greencoast, we do not want our students to just be accepting of all information. They are not empty vessels to be filled with facts. We encourage our students to think and solve problems. They also need to think and take time to reflect on bad choices that they may have made. We positively encourage students to think before they act and make good choices abut their behaviour and learning. Thinking skills are developed through our units as well and students are encouraged to think about what they already know and how it connects to their new unit of learning. Thinking skills are developed in the early years by getting the students involved in creating classroom role play spaces and thinking about what materials they will need.

At Greencoast, we have implemented "personal goals" to drive our Positive Behaviour Management Policy.

These goals are used throughout the school and students are encouraged to develop their use of them as they move up through the grade levels.

This week we would like to introduce you to the personal goal: Adaptable.

This goal is represented by a chameleon.

At Greencoast, we want students to adapt easily to new situations and unexpected changes in our daily schedule such as a teacher being off sick. Students learn to cope with change and support others when the unexpected arises. We also need to adapt our learning styles as we get older and the educational challenge increases.

11/08/2020

Thank you so much to teachers and families that have already volunteered.....maybe some more Greencoast families will be able to help tomorrow. Please note that children under the age of 13 are no longer welcome.

Ensemble, let’s #SaveMauritiusReef !

Did you know..... at Greencoast we love to connect with local experts to further our students education and link to their units of inquiry.
Today we met an artist to discover.... a day in the life of an artist connected to our unit about jobs people do.

So much fun this morning with my young guests of the day, coming from @greencoastinternationalschool .! 😁
.
