Weight cut has always been a major challenge for Khamzat.

His natural walking weight is reportedly around 105 kg, where he is an absolute beast in the gym. But when competition time comes in the middleweight division (85 kg), he has to cut nearly 20 kg, a huge sacrifice for the body.

Weight cutting has always been an issue for Khamzat, and it is one of the reasons he moved up from the welterweight division.
Going from 105 kg to 85 kg leaves very little time for proper recovery. Even with around 72 hours to rehydrate and recuperate, the body may not fully recover and perhaps that is one reason we have sometimes seen Khamzat struggle inside the cage.

Now, if he truly considers moving to the light heavyweight division, it would be very interesting to see how he evolves without such an extreme weight cut and whether he can make new history in another division.

Would Khamzat be even more dangerous at light heavyweight?
