This morning our school has commemorated the Annual Yoga Day with the primary and pre-primary section.

🫀 We were honoured to have Dr Oomesh Shamloll, Leading Consultant Interventional Cardiologist who graced our function as Guest of Honour today on the occasion of the World Yoga Day. Dr Shamloll pioneered the implementation of 24/7 Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) in Mauritius’ public healthcare system. His groundbreaking work in medical field and dedication to patient care set a standard of excellence for us all. 🩺⚕️

With this year’s theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing” we encourage our community to practice yoga and mindfulness regularly. 🧘‍♀️

Children aged 3 to 12 years old may register to our Saturday morning Yoga Classes with Sunfield City Sports Club to benefit from the mindfulness and yoga sessions. 🧘‍♂️

The event was held in different sessions in order to accommodate all the young Sunnies (nursery, pre-primary & primary children)

🛫 Visit at the Maritime Air Squadron 🚁
Today our young learners had the incredible opportunity to explore a helicopter up close!
A day filled with wonder, excitement and hands on learning that inspired curiosity and a sense of adventure.
The kids were happy to see the Dhruv Helicopter and many more.
We are grateful to the Maritime Air Squadron team for the warm welcome our students have received today.

Student Exchange and Commemoration of the World Environment Day with Northlands Pre-Primary & Primary School (Triolet). 🪴

We are grateful to the team who has received us with so much of love and enthusiasm at Northlands.
We cordially thank Mrs Soonita Ramoo, Mr Garish Ramoo, Mrs Célia Ramoo, Mrs Simla, Mrs Sweety, Mrs Sharmila and all other members who have welcomed Sunfield City pupils and staff.

Mrs Priyanka & team represented Sunfield City School during this event and we look forward for further activities in collaboration this year with Northlands Campus.

The Grade 4 pupils visited one of the key sites in Mauritian History, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Aapravasi Ghat on Fri 05 June 2026

The Aapravasi Ghat is located on the Bay of Trou Fanfaron in Port Louis.

The arrival of the first indentured laborers in Mauritius on November 2, 1834, is commemorated at the Aapravasi Ghat annually.
