📐✨ Maths in the Real World! ✨
Our students had the wonderful opportunity to hear from inspiring guest speakers from our parent community, who shared how mathematics plays an important role in their professions.
Our Year 2 learners had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Lam Cham Kee, who showed how shapes, geometry, patterns, and sequences are used in architecture to design the world around us. 🏗️
Our Year 5 students were inspired by Mrs. Peerbocus, who demonstrated how mathematics is essential in her role as a Data Analyst, using numbers, graphs, patterns, and problem solving to make informed decisions. 📊
They also enjoyed an engaging session with Mr. Senadhipathy, a pilot, who gave students a fascinating insight into how coordinates and mathematical skills are used to navigate safely, plan flight routes, and travel across the world. ✈️
These inspiring sessions helped our learners discover that maths is everywhere, shaping buildings, guiding flights, analysing data, and opening doors to exciting future careers.
