THE SCHOOL AT A GLANCE
The school was founded in 1989 to meet the needs of the many expatriates and Mauritian families living in this rapidly developing region.
• Our student body of approximately 360 children come from varied linguistic, cultural and social backgrounds.
• Our teaching staff are recruited both locally and internationally. IPS caters for children from the ages of 3, in the Nurse
ry class, to age 11 in class 6.
• Our facilities include two purpose-built classroom blocks, three computer areas, two libraries, an art studio, French language classrooms, a learning support teaching centre, a gymnasium, sports fields and playgrounds, an outdoor amphitheatre and a medical room. The school campus is equipped with WiFi internet access.

IPS is the only primary school in Mauritius to have been fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), one of the premier worldwide accreditation organisations for international schools, since 2007. This accreditation recognizes and validates our educational standards and helps us ensure that we also meet the international standards for comparable schools. In addition, IPS uses the Australian Centre for Educational Research’s (ACER) international school benchmark assessments (ISA) in years 4 to 6.
