I’ve send this in a private msg but people that read reviews must read this!!!
Happy to say that after Lindsays help and guidance on changing MY ways and habits and making me understand what a healthier way of eating and living is I am now almost 20 kg less and getting fit
1.8 left to go to get to 20 kg weight loss after almost 6 months
The way Lindsay helped me and after seeing change with my body and with in me the first week of January I did join an 8 week new year challenge without even knowing what’s I’m getting into.
06/03 completed the 8 weeks and I’ve signed up for another 10 weeks
So glad and thankful for the impact Lindsay had in my life

Should we stop using social media because it supposedly negatively impacts our body image?🤔

A 2015 study found that social media use negatively affected women's moods and body concerns.🤨

Spending only 10 minutes browsing 📱 FB instead of a neutral website resulted in a more negative mood and more facial, hair, and skin-related concerns amongst women.

Does that mean we should stop it?🛑

Not necessarily.

💡It's actually an opportunity.

We don't have to unfollow all beautiful women. It's healthy for all of us to support other women out there that we like and believe in.👭

We can actually think of it as practice to admire the beauty in others.💖 The more we appreciate the unique beauty in others, the more we can appreciate it in ourselves.

✨Catch yourself if you're comparing, and channel it to admiring the beauty. Both inner and outer beauty.

If you try it, I mean really try channeling this, let me know how it goes :)

I love quinoa and I eat it often.

Because it’s a complete protein due to having all of the essential amino acids, many people like to eat a LOT of it.

Quinoa has more protein & fiber than rice. It doesn’t raise blood sugar as much as rice🍚, white potatoes🥔, bread🥖 & pasta🍝.

However, most nutrition databases classify it as a carb (a smart carb), not a protein. A ½ cup (92grams) of cooked quinoa gives you 4 grams of protein & 5 TIMES as much carbs.

Therefore, we shouldn’t rely on this as our only protein.

Having quinoa, veggies🥬, and an avocado🥑 for a meal looks healthy, but it’s likely not meeting your protein requirements unless you have a LOT of it. But a LOT of quinoa can raise your blood sugar too much.🤨

👉Disclaimer: this is not siding with any one food (sorry if I hurt any food’s feelings), but it is merely a way to suggest to add a bit more protein to your meal if the only protein you’ve got is quinoa, and you don’t want to overdo carbs.

Q: When is it better to NOT be in the present moment?🤔

A: When recycling negative thoughts that put you in a negative loop 😤

The other day, I found myself venting about how there was no electricity all day, tech issues that turned a supposed-to-be-5-minute thing into several hours, my phone died and no power bank…and more!

Venting didn’t seem to do much. It just kept me in the same place.

Things COULD definitely be much worse. I'm so fortunate in 100's of ways. But thinking this way didn’t make me feel better, then.😒

🧘I knew I needed to start with a meditation.

And in that meditation, I realized that it WASN'T the time to be present.

👉Exactly, the opposite!

So I pulled out some positive memories. And this got me out of my funk.😎

Evoking positive memories elicits the same positive neurochemicals as the initial experience.

Sometimes, it's helpful to sit in negative emotions, so that we fully process them and heal.💞

BUT that day, there was ZERO benefit to sit & recycle negative irritations. I needed to get out of it.

I came across this gem of a video from 2 1/2 years ago. What BLISS!!!! And fun, and CUTENESS😍

So I watched more, and more adorable videos of my kids! And this was the start of me changing my mood. Relief! I needed to reverse the signal!💡

When processing the same thing isn’t helping, may I suggest to get out of the present.

Outer beauty is fun! We are in physical bodies, so let's definitely enjoy it!💃

As this outer beauty changes over time⌛, attaching to it with too much emphasis is a losing game.

This picture was taken in 2007 in Turkey. There are things that are physically different now for me, but dwelling on them too much doesn't serve me.

There's beauty in all of the things our body does for us. I choose to be grateful for those things.😄 There's also so much beauty in our minds, hearts, and souls.

Personally, this beauty on the inside has improved over time.💖 With time, I have more awareness, I'm more patient, peaceful, playful, compassionate, less judgmental, more open-minded, & more authentic. I'm so grateful for this progression on the inside.

Let's take a moment to embrace YOUR inner beauty. :) AND your outer beauty. :)

Autophagy is one of the most powerful benefits of intermittent fasting.🔥

👉 It repairs! It cleans out cancer cells, flabby skin, viruses, repairs damaged cells, and restores collagen. It does that by recycling damaged cells into fueling new cells.

Autophagy happens when there are not enough amino acids available in the body for the regeneration and repair of tissues & when the insulin level is low.

It usually begins at around 18 hours of fasting, and continues to increase the longer you fast.⏲️

I was fasting in this picture, but had loads of energy. And it’s gratifying that while I WASN’T eating, my body was REPAIRING itself 😊.

I struggled with my health, weight & my relationship with food for a long time

In my 20’s, I had a huge list of health issues. Just a few were pre-diabetes, severe allergies, sinuses, adrenal burn-out, IBS, & herniated discs. I also worked heavy hours & had no work-life balance. My body was giving me signs, but I wasn’t listening!

I’ve had times in my life that I wasn’t very comfortable with my weight & body image. I also ate loads of stuff that I read was healthy. I was only doing this so I could reward myself with tastier, and even junkier foods. It turns out, most of it wasn’t good for mybody.
