On Monday 16th March, as part of the celebrations marking the 65th Anniversary of Friendship College Boys, our school proudly hosted an Inter-College Competition, bringing together students from various institutions in a spirit of unity, healthy competition, and academic excellence.

The event featured a wide range of engaging events, including Quiz, Art Painting Competition, French Elocution, English Elocution, French Debate, and English Essay Writing, providing students with a platform to express their creativity, confidence, and intellectual abilities.

We were honoured to welcome participants from Friendship College Girls, Universal College, D.A.V College, International College, S. Jugdambi SSS, BPS Fatima College, Cosmopolitan College Boys, and Cosmopolitan College Girls, whose presence contributed greatly to the success and vibrancy of the day.

This memorable occasion was a true celebration of talent, teamwork, and dedication. It would not have been possible without the unwavering commitment, hard work, and collaboration of our staff and students, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the event.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all participants for their enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and outstanding efforts. We also warmly congratulate all the winners for their remarkable achievements. You have all made us immensely proud. Well done to everyone involved!

Our school proudly celebrated the 58th Anniversary of the Independence of Mauritius and the 34th Anniversary of the Republic đŸ‡ČđŸ‡ș. On this special occasion, we had the honour of welcoming our Chief Guest, Mr. Jason Adu, an alumnus of Friendship College Boys and now a Social Media Expert at MCB. He shared his inspiring journey, along with fond memories of his time as a student and the teachers who continue to shape the lives of students at our school today. The celebration concluded with refreshments served to both students and staff, making it a memorable moment of patriotism, reflection, and school pride.

Happy Independence Day đŸ‡ČđŸ‡ș

Following their fundraising activity earlier in February, our HSC Travel & Tourism students spent an enriching day at the Marine Discovery Centre in Anse La Raie as part of their coursework. The visit focused on sustainability, marine life protection, the importance of mangroves, and beach clean-up initiatives. Students also learned about responsible snorkeling practices, including the use of protective equipment and essential safety measures. A valuable learning experience combining tourism, conservation, and environmental responsibility.

As part of their youth engagement and outreach strategy, the FCC conducted a financial crime prevention campaign on ‘The fight against financial crimes - why integrity matters?’ on Wednesday.

The aim of the campaign is to empower students on core values such as honesty, integrity, responsibility, civic awareness, amongst others, so as to promote early prevention of financial crimes. Such efforts not only contribute to a more positive and respectful school climate but also align with national goals for civic education and personal development.
