Angel Special School & Welfare Association Angel Special School and Welfare Association cater for special needs children and adults

The idea to set up an association to provide services in favour of disabled children and their families cropped up in the minds of some foundation members. It took almost one year to mobilize other parents in similar situations, structure the group and have it registered on the 9th July 2009 at the of” registrar of association” under the name “Angel Special School and Welfare Association”. By that

time, the original idea of mere regular meetings of parents for problems sharing and mutual support, evolved into that of a day care service for the disabled children. For the time being the committee manages to organize some outing by the help of the Barclays Bank and some contribution in kind by some members. Hence, the association is operating a day to day service from Febuary 2010 in a rented building at Chemin- Grenier, an easily accessible village for the member parents and their children.

Le National Autism Summit & Action Week organisé par l'ONG Angel Special School and Welfare Association a réuni familles, professionnels, ONG et écoles SENS autour d’un même objectif : mieux comprendre l’autisme et faire progresser l’inclusion à Maurice. 💙
