ACCA COURSES AS FROM SEPT 2017 - fyc2705.wixsite.com/fycsite

25/07/2017

Complete the ACCA Qualification at Professional level and you’ll be adding ACCA after your name

What will I learn?
At the Professional level of the ACCA Qualification, you’ll learn the dynamic skills and strategic vision that all great businesses and financial leaders need. It also gives you the opportunity to specialise in areas that best suit your career ambitions.

What opportunities could it lead to?
Becoming an ACCA member unlocks the widest number of career opportunities, and gives you a mark of distinction that lets you drive your career to greater success. It could lead to very senior positions such as a financial manager, chief financial officer or a partner in a professional firm.

What will it involve?
Our Professional level requires you to undertake:

5 exams: This includes three compulsory courses of Governance, Risk and Ethics; Corporate Reporting; and Business Analysis. Choose two further courses that suit your career ambitions from Advanced Financial Management; Advanced Performance Management; Advanced Taxation; or Advanced Audit and Assurance.
1 ethics module: We believe that finance professionals should be ethical, which is why our Professional level includes a compulsory ethics module.
3 years’ work experience: Our exams provide the theory, but you also need practical experience in a relevant workplace role.
How long will it take?
If you combine your studies and work experience, you could gain your ACCA Qualification and be an ACCA member in as little as three years. However, we think your studies should fit around your life, which is why a range of flexible study options are available.

Am I eligible?
To complete the ACCA Qualification and become an ACCA member, you need to complete our Fundamentals and Professional levels. However, your previous education may qualify you for some exam exemptions, such as having a relevant degree from an ACCA-accredited university. If your previous qualifications exempt you from all Fundamentals papers then you can start your studies at the Professional level. Otherwise, you’ll need to start at our Fundamentals level.

Check what exemptions you might be eligible for

Changes coming to the ACCA Qualification
We are making some exciting changes to the ACCA Qualification which includes a redesigned Professional level with a new innovative case study and Ethics and Professional Skills module which will be introduced in September 2018.

These will add to our innovative exams to enhance a highly relevant qualification that will deliver the professional accountants the world needs.

Take the first step in your journey towards ACCA membership

What will I learn?
Our Fundamentals level teaches you essential financial and management accounting techniques, in addition to providing a strong, broad and practical knowledge of the world of finance.

What opportunities could it lead to?
Studying at Fundamentals level gives you a wide range of opportunities to choose from, such as finance trainee, trainee business analyst and internal auditor.

On completion of the Fundamentals level, students can progress to our Professional level.

What will it involve?
There are three valuable awards that can be achieved at the Fundamentals level:

Diploma in Accounting & Business: Students progressing from our Foundations level will already have this qualification, but it’s an important first step for those starting at Fundamentals level. The Diploma consists of three papers: Accountant in Business; Management Accounting; and Financial Accounting. You also need to take the online ethics module, Foundations in Professionalism.
Advanced Diploma in Accounting & Business: Take your knowledge further with the next six papers: Corporate and Business Law; Performance Management; Taxation; Financial Reporting; Audit and Assurance; and Financial Management. You also need to take the online ethics module, Professional Ethics. On completion of the Advanced Diploma, you can move up to our Professional level.
BSc (Hons) Degree Applied Accounting: You also have the opportunity to further your knowledge and skills with our degree in Applied Accounting, which has been created in partnership with Oxford Brookes University. Holding both a professional accounting qualification and an accounting degree is a powerful combination that can greatly increase employment opportunities with employers.
How long will it take?
Our Fundamentals level can be completed in as little as 12 to 18 months, but a range of flexible study options are available to suit your lifestyle.

To gain the ACCA Qualification and become an ACCA member, you also need to study at the Professional level in addition to completing three years’ work experience. If you study while you work, you could complete everything in just three years.

Am I eligible?
To start at Fundamentals level you need a relevant secondary school education covering five separate subjects, which must include English and maths.

To find out if your qualification allows entry to the ACCA Qualification at Fundamentals level, select your country from the list below.
If your qualification is listed as 'sufficient' then you can start at Fundamentals level. You may also be able to claim some exam exemptions. Find out if you qualify for exemptions.
Don’t have the relevant qualifications? Don’t worry. We have everything you need at the Foundations level.

Get your accountancy career off to a great start with our Foundations level

What will I learn?
If you don’t have the relevant qualifications to start at the Fundamentals or Professional levels, then our Foundations level will prepare you. It provides an exceptional introduction to the finance sector and teaches some essential skills and techniques.

What opportunities could it lead to?
Despite being at the start of your journey, there are still a range of roles you could undertake such as trainee bookkeeper, administrator and trainee accountant

What will it involve?
There are four awards available at Foundations level:

Introductory Certificate in Financial & Management Accounting: Want to start at the very beginning? Our optional Introductory Certificate consists of two essential courses: Management Information; and Recording Financial Transactions.
Intermediate Certificate in Financial & Management Accounting: Need a little bit of background first? Our optional Intermediate Certificate consists of two valuable courses: Maintaining Financial Records; and Managing Costs and Finance.
Diploma in Accounting & Business: Our Diploma consists of three papers: Accountant in Business; Management Accounting; and Financial Accounting. You also need to take the online ethics module, Foundations in Professionalism. Completing the Diploma enables you to move up to our Fundamentals level, with exemptions from the first three exams.
Certified Accounting Technician: To qualify as a Certified Accounting Technician, simply take all three Foundations qualifications plus two additional exams. Choose from Tax; Audit; and Financial Management. You’ll also need to undertake one year of practical experience in a relevant finance role.
What is Foundations in Professionalism?
To gain any of the awards at the Foundations level and receive a certificate, you must complete the online ethics module, Foundations in Professionalism in addition to the required exams. The module can be completed before, at the same time, or after your exams and you only need to complete it once.

How long will it take?
After taking your first Introductory Certificate exam, you can complete the Intermediate Certificate and Diploma within a year. All the exams are available as on-demand computer-based assessments, so you can set your own pace.

Am I eligible?
Yes. Our Foundations level is designed for those who don’t have any previous relevant qualifications. However, you may benefit from taking our self-check module that lets you test your English and maths skills. It’s optional and entirely anonymous. Check your English and maths
